What is hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are basically masses of tissue that have grouped together around your anus entry canal. Once you see how simple it is to cure hemorrhoids fast and naturally you will kick yourself for not discovering this method sooner. Hemorrhoids are frightfully painful, even small hemorrhoids can cause tremendous grief and pain to sufferers, especially when bleeding occurs after wiping. Around ninety percent of the population experience the misfortune of hemorrhoids at some stage of their lives, they are very common.

Various types of haemorrhoids exist and of course each type can be slightly different, as of this many people think ‘’What are hemorrhoids’’ See our brief outline of what different types of hemorrhoids exist.

Hemorrhoids are basically internal and or external. Internal hemorrhoids obviously are inside your anus typically where they cannot be seen with the human eye. Which are much more difficult to find as the signs are far less obvious, I.e. when bleeding occurs they will become noticeable.

When your thinking ‘’What are these hemorrhoids’’, please remember to note that each type is different. Your external hemorrhoids are visible to the human eye as they are visible to the outside of the anus. External hemorrhoids give sufferes lots of uncomfortable pain as they are very tender and gather in the most uncomfortable positions around the anus.

Nothing of course is set in stone; there are internal hemorrhoids that will be visible to the human eye. These hemorrhoids are what doctors call ‘’Prolapsed internal hemorrhoids’’ These prolapsed hemorrhoids mainly occur when the sufferer is straining to make a bowel movement. As of the hardship of putting hemorrhoids back into the anus, they can be very painful indeed and may require a surgical procedure to remove.

The other main type of hemorrhoid to cover is the thrombosed external hemorrhoids. Smaller hemorrhoids to which have been formed by blood clotting. These particular hemorrhoids are very small indeed, solid volumes of massed tissue that do cause svere pain and itching. These painful hemorrhoids may well require surgery if you cannot treat them at home.

Why do I get hemorrhoids? Many reasons to why this occurs, in general it is very easy indeed, simply put, when you strain more trying to pass a stool this creates more pressure on the anus regions and is especially worse during constipation. A simple cure for this can be found in adding more fibre to your diet.

Using Fibre can keep you regular and your stool soft which in turn will reduce the amount of pressure and strain been made to make bowel movements, also include fruit, whole grain breads etc. It can be very easy to prevent hemorrhoids, while understanding ‘’What hemorrhoids are’’ could provide many technical explanations, but the home treatment of hemorrhoids is so, so easy.

This is just a quick summary of what you need to know about hemorrhoids, if you want the full details of what hemorrhoids are all about and how to quickly and easily cure hemorrhoids visit

Why there’s nothing to fear about Acupuncture Treatment

People want to know if acpuncture will work for them? A lot of my close personal friends want to know this but they deem acupuncture as one of those holistic remedies for hippies because their insurance plans don’t cover it fully. I understand this concern of theirs and at one point I kind of agreed with the sentiment that If it’s not covered it’s not a legitimate medical treatment.

However, there was a time when I was on vacation and nowhere near my hometown doctor and I had some severe back pain.  The concierge at the hotel we were staying at saw me in pain and recommended me to her fiance who was an acpuncturist, and had an office half a mile away.

I called him up right away, and made an appointment for the next morning at 8:30 in the morning.  As I walked into his office hunched over with pain, and my son following me with a fistful of toys, we got down to business.  He did some probing of muscle areas, and frankly, I felt better just by lying down on a properly cushioned, ergonomic table.

He started the acupuncture treatment with probing of muscle tissue to ascertain where the muscle inflammation was, and where the pain was coming from.  Sometimes with back pain, where you feel the pain doesn’t always mean that’s the source of the pain, since the pain gets “localized”, meaning that the source of the pain is deeper within the body, but gets made evident via inflammation on places closer to the skin layer.

So his probing found out where the pain was coming from and he started the real acupuncture treatment with these tiny little needles.  As he was inserting these tiny needles, he had some soft music playing and I almost fell asleep.  That right there sohuld prove to anyone that these needles are going to be felt when they’re inserted and the whole treatment has a very relaxing element to it.

Donnie Boots is a big fan of alternative medical treatments such as acupuncture and aromatherapy. His acupuncture treatment blog has some more interesting articles on acpuncture and the benefits of acupuncture treatment

Acupuncture Therapy: What You Need to Know

Most people today live a quite unhealthy lifestyle which often results in the unavoidable occurence of life threatening health conditions. Medical breakthroughs have been steady through the years, but most Westerners are now opening their minds and bodies to what is traditionally a non-Western health or therapy idea. One popular alternative medicine is acupuncture therapy.

Acupuncture therapy, what exactly is it? The common image that comes to mind when acupuncture is mentioned is that of the Chinese sticking needles in their skins. Acupuncture, as a therapeutic method, traces its origin to ancient China which is why it is normally placed under traditional Chinese medicine.

Acupuncture Therapy 101

Acupuncture therapy is often times considered by some people as an ineffective healing method simply because it does not make sense to them. So, to shed light on the perennial question of what is acupuncture to the uninformed, here are a few basics to know about acupuncture:

  1. Acupuncture therapy utilizes fine filiform needles being inserted into specific points in the body, either for general healing purposes or specific for pain relief. These meridians are specific points in the body where life energy (qi) flows are situated.
  2. Acupuncture points, most of the times, are located in the twelve main meridians that correspond to vital body organs like the kidney, liver or lungs. Acupuncture can be useful in treating a range of health conditions.
  3. Due to the its Oriental roots as well as lack of anatomical or histological basis for its medical claims, acupuncture therapy it has been receiving staunch criticism from Western scientists and doctors. Some consider it as a mere myth; however, several studies have shown that it is indeed an effective treatment of some health conditions.
  4. Acupuncture therapy places an emphasis on the free flow of blood and qi. Qi is difficult to translate in the English language but it can be viewed as a form of life energy. When certain body parts experience excessive or deficient levels of qi, sometimes there is stagnation of qi in the body. Acupuncture therapy is used as a technique to balance the qi excess or deficiency by promoting its free flow and either draining it if there is an excess or replenishing it if there is a deficiency.

Traditional Chinese medicine looks at health as a symbiosis of yin and yang in the body. Yin and yang, which are contrasting forces that work together, can be compared to dark and light, male and female, or high and low. Acupuncture therapy in the Western world then becomes a blending of the East and the West, yin and yang, thus making it an intriguing healing art. At the start of its popularity in the West, some people considered it as a mere myth but, through the years, it has been scientifically researched. In fact, acupuncture therapy has been efficient in the treatment of several health conditions in the Western world.

The Hypnotherapists Role: An Introduction

Although Hypnotherapy is now widely accepted as a successful therapy method,  there are still some misconceptions and dark areas associated with it.

Let’s see how it really works.

A hypnotherapy session will take place in a comfortable and quiet environment, and during the first session you can talk in confidence about the issues you wish to overcome. You will have a chance to ask questions, explain how you feel, and express your concerns.

Sometimes it is the first time a client has been allowed to talk in depth and to be listened to. This alone is therapeutic.

The hypnotherapist will provide you with information about hypnosis, as well as what to expect during the session. Everything you need to be able to relax while reaching you goal is provided.

The first session will often take two hours in order for the therapist to get an understanding of the problem and explain the process involved with your therapy, as well as a session of hypnosis. Return visits will take about an hour and a half.

Hypnotherapy - using hypnosis in therapy - takes advantage of the brain’s innate ability to create a very relaxed state of being. A powerful learning tool is deep relaxation, also known as a trance. When in hypnosis you are more open to new ideas, suggestions and discoveries, allowing you to make the positive changes you want to achieve your goal.

Hypnosis is similar to day-dreaming, with feelings of deep relaxation and concentration, you sit in a comfortable chair with a pillow behind your neck and a small rug over you, you close your eyes, and the therapist starts talking, hypnosis is brought about by suggestion, beginning with the suggestion of relaxation. Breathing gets slower and your body relaxes, while your mind focuses on suggestions made by the therapist.  While powerful, this experience is gentle and relaxing.

Hypnotherapists help their clients to conquer irrational fears, phobias, negative self-talk and work through deeply felt emotions using suggestions and visualisations.
When the therapist brings you out of your hypnosis, you will be left feeling wonderfully alert, relaxed and refreshed. You are then often invited to talk about it if you wish.

A clinical hypnotherapist can offer help in many areas including ocd treatments and weight loss programmes as well as many others.

Because of the wide range of problems, and personal abilities, the number of sessions required is different for everyone. Most problems take at least three sessions to treat but smoking cessation is usually covered in one long session.
